As a runner with an oval face on the smaller side, finding sunglasses that fit (and stay put) can be a challenge. That’s why I decided to try goodr, a brand known for lightweight frames, fun colors, and a runner‑friendly design. I picked the delightfully named Flamingos on a Booze Cruise. After several runs, here is my candid opinion.
What I Love
1. Incredibly lightweight
The first thing I noticed is how light they feel. There is no pressure on the bridge of my nose, no bouncing, and no heaviness.
2. Secure fit
This is the standout feature. Even during humid summer miles, they never slip, slide, or require constant adjusting. The no‑bounce fit is exactly what I want in running sunglasses, especially for longer workouts.
3. Options for all face sizes
As someone with a smaller face, I appreciate that goodr offers multiple frame styles and sizes. The smaller frames fit me well without overwhelming my features, and they feel secure without being tight.
4. Reasonably priced
At $30 a pair they are affordable enough that I don’t panic if I drop them, scratch them, or accidentally leave them behind somewhere. It’s nice to have a pair that performs well without feeling like a high‑stakes investment.
One Drawback
The only downside is that the small frame styles don’t have as many color options as the standard sizes. I still found a pair I love. Flamingos on a Booze Cruise is bright and fun. I do wish the full color lineup were available across all sizes.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for running sunglasses that are lightweight, comfortable, and stay put no matter the pace, goodr is a fantastic option. They are playful, practical, and accessible for runners of all face shapes and sizes. And while the small frame color selection is a bit limited, the performance more than makes up for it.
